Long established Midlands based manufacturer Stockton Engineering has joined the region's fastest growing membership organisation - Made in the Midlands (MIM). The company has joined the manufacturing network to promote their passion for UK industry.

Made in Group, including Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire, is a membership organisation championing the UK manufacturing and Engineering Sectors. Its 400+ members have access to numerous virtual and live networking events throughout the year where they have the opportunity to share and learn best practice from leading manufacturing firms. Each member has a microsite attached to the Made in the Midlands or Made in Yorkshire domain. Both domains are first on google for their respective regions - ‘Midlands manufacturing’ and Yorkshire manufacturing’.

Established in 1973, Stockton Engineering provides wire forming and metal pressing solutions for the automotive, rail, construction industries and many more. Today, the company supports the precision engineering sector with presswork and wireforms components across the globe. In 2020, the company embarked on a new adventure as it was acquired by Central Birmingham Springs, who is also passionate about UK manufacturing and became member of MIM. The two companies have now combined their resources on a new site in Cradley Heath. The investment into skills and infrastructure ensures support and continuity to their customers as well increasing capacity to grow.

The team at Stockton are looking forward to connecting with other Made members, specifically those in the wire world in order to improve their own best practice. They’re also looking forward to building their online presence through the platform by sharing news and product updates to their Made microsite.
